Owens Valley is a beautiful area situated between the Sierras and Death Valley. Old mining sites dot the area as well as trout fishing spots for adventuresome fisherfolk. Diaz Lake just North of Lone Pine Mobile Oasis offers fishing and water sports for those with small watercraft.

Turn right out of the Park and climb up to Horseshoe Meadows high in the mountains. Has great hiking and cooler temperatures to visit when hot near Owens Lake.
